The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations - Akademikerne – to organise a debate at Political Festival of Europe

Political Festival of Europe will be held from 25 to 28 August 2022 Mariager, Northern Denmark. At the Festival, visitors from all over Europe can explore a broad range of debates between European citizens and decisionmakers on some of the most pressing issues. Overarching themes include business, climate, culture, democracy, foreign policy, health and technology.

The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) is a national trade union center for 28 Danish trade unions. As an important stakeholder for academics on the labour market, Political Festival of Europe welcomes the participation of AC, who will organise a debate about the psychological working environment.

Now is the time for the EU to take responsibility for the mental working environment. Sadly, we are seeing a very worrying trend across Europe, with stress contributing to around half of all working days lost. At the same time, 80% of managers in the EU are worried about work-related stress. We will therefore at the Festival focus on how the EU can strengthen its regulation in the field of the mental working environment and move beyond information campaigns that so far have been the cornerstone of the EU's efforts to improve mental health and well-being at work. The EU has achieved great results in regard to the physical working environment - it can and must do the same when it comes to preventing stress and poor mental health,

highlights Lisbeth Lintz, President of AC. Tweet

The discussion around the labour market is a central one at Political Festival of Europe. Multiple unions in Denmark as well as their European counterparts have chosen to help set the agenda at the Festival by organising their own debates.

Political Festival of Europe looks forward to AC’s debate on the psychological working environment. It is an important topic that shapes the everyday of employers and employees around the world. We’re glad to be able to give a platform for such discussions and interesting exchanges,

says Jan Bertelsen, CEO for Political Festival of Europe. Tweet

Akademikerne arrangerer en debat på Political Festival of Europe

Political Festival of Europe afvikles for første gang den 25.- 28. august 2022 i Mariager.

Political Festival of Europe er glad for at AC deltagelse.

understreger Lisbeth Lintz, formand for Akademikerne. Tweet

siger Jan Bertelsen, CEO ved Political Festival of Europe. Tweet
