Per Kjeldesen joined the PFoE board as a new Board Member in March 2022. He currently lives in Brønderslev Municipality and was elected into the Northern Jutland regional council by the Social Democrats. Per is also the chairman for the 3F Midtvendsyssel union covering part of Jammerbrugt and Brønderslev municipality. Through his work, he is in dialogue with both the business world and the political system. In addition, Per is also part of the board for Brønderslev Industrial Center, the Brønderslev Hallerne Foundation and the Runde Pavillon Cultural Institution.
As a new member of the PFoE board, Per is excited to be a part of the Festival. For him, the idea, thought and location of the Festival in Mariager’s beautiful setting offers all opportunities to build something bigger.
Board Member and Volunteer Lead for Larger Stages
In January 2022, Jane Grøn was appointed by the Mariagerfjord municipality as a new Board Member for PFoE. Jane lives in Mariager and has an education as a pedagogue. She has previously worked as the Head for day care and for the social and activity offers at Sødisbakke for many years. For the past 12 years, Jane has also been part of the city council in the Mariagerfjord municipality and is the Vice Chair for Culture and Leisure for the “Rytmus” music association in Mariager that will this year celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Since the start, Jane has been enthusiastic about the idea of creating a European democracy festival in Mariager and she was also part of the first steering committee in 2021. Jane is also part of the PFoE Volunteer Council where she is the lead for larger stages at the Festival.
Jens Lykke has a background in teaching and has worked at continuation schools and in the municipal youth center. From 2007 until August 2021, he has been working as a Consultant and professional manager for the Culture and Leisure Department in Mariagerfjord Municipality, where he has worked with larger and smaller events, among other things.
At PFoE, Jens has taken on the task of coordinating volunteers and of serving as a liaison to the Mariagerfjord Municipality. Furthermore, Jens is also involved in a wide range of board tasks within the school and culture areas.
Nina Lange Madsen
Children and Youth Coordinator
In October 2021, Nina Lange Madsen joined the PFoE secretariat as the new Children and Youth Coordinator. First starting out as an intern, she became employed in January 2022. Nina has studied hospitality and event management and she also has a degree in economics and administration. Before starting at PFoE, she was self-employed.
At PFoE, Nina primarily works on involvement for children and youth in the Festival. Additionally, she is also responsible for coordinating housing and accommodation for visitors.
Katja Dahl Horsfeldt
Personal Assistant and Office Manager
In January 2022, Katja Dahl Horsfeldt joined the PFoE team as the new Personal Assistant and Office Manager. Katja has a master’s in Development and International Relations and has experience from the Danish Embassy in Oslo, where she worked in the political department. Katja has a passion for sustainability as she has been a coordinator and has held workshops for the UN Association School Service in Aalborg.
At PFoE, Katja’s primary responsibility is supporting the CEO, with administrative tasks, setting up meetings and managing the calendar and contacts. Feel free to contact her, and she will help you or find the right person to help!
Stephanie Ingrid Höglund
In February 2022, Stephanie Ingrid Höglund was appointed as the new Communications Manager at PFoE. Stephanie holds a master’s degree in Development and International Relations and has experience working at UN, NGO and Government levels in Luxembourg, the Philippines and Ethiopia. With a passion for social justice and gender equality, she has also engaged herself as a volunteer at several levels, including as the current Social Media Manager for We Belong Europe.
Stephanie joined Political Festival of Europe through her passion for impactful communications that can promote the democratic agenda. Here, she is responsible for the website, social media channels, media outreach and general content creation.
Media Consultant and Volunteer
In February 2022, Torben Nørgaard joined PFoE as a media consultant and volunteer. Torben works as Program Manager and journalist at TV2 Nord, where he has been working for more than 20 years. He also runs the company Tgaard, a company that offers fundraising and communication services to organizations.
At PFoE, Torben primarily works with the press and production of content from PFoE partners.
