Krifa and the World Organization of Workers participate in the Political Festival of Europe

Political Festival of Europe will be held from 25 to 28 August 2022 Mariager, Northern Denmark. At the Festival, visitors from all over Europe will have access to a broad range of debates between European citizens and decisionmakers on topics ranging from folklore to sustainability, from pandemics to labour market.

As an important stakeholder in the Danish labour market, Political Festival of Europe is glad to share that Krifa will be participating in the Festival alongside its international umbrella organisation the World Organization of Workers (WOW).

Krifa and I are very much looking forward to the Political Festival of Europe in Mariager. Given the important influence that the EU has on the Danish labour market, there are many exciting topics to talk about. One of the things we are for instance very involved in at Krifa, among other things, is the statutory minimum wage in Europe, around which opinions here are divided, to put it mildly. At Krifa, we are working on making it a reality for the benefit of the working poor in the EU,

says Eik Dahl Bidstrup, chair for Krifa. Tweet

“With the Festival’s international perspective, the participation of WOW is evident. We have been a part of WOW for 25 years, and we know WOW has a lot to offer here,” he continues.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the discussion around the labour market has become a central one and one that is highlighted at Political Festival of Europe.

The challenges brought about by the pandemic have shown the need for decision-makers to work closer together on local, regional and international levels. Technological innovations have been fundamental in reducing distances and also in strengthening the sense of collaboration and solidarity within and outside of workplaces

says Jan Bertelsen, CEO at Political Festival of Europe. Tweet

The Festival welcomes Krifa and WOW, who will be present during the four days with their own activity stand. Here, Krifa and WOW will be organising a variety of events about the labour market, worker’s rights and unions.

Krifa og World Organization of Workers deltager i Political Festival of Europe

Political Festival of Europe afvikles for første gang den 25.- 28. august 2022 i Mariager.

siger Jan Bertelsen, CEO ved Political Festival of Europe. Tweet
